Garage & Basement Cleanouts in Wilmington, DE
Can’t park in the garage? Scared to look in the basement? We haul out years of boxes, broken shelving, old bikes and everything else in one visit, and leave you with a space you can actually use.
What we haul
Everything that’s been piling up for years
Garages, basements, attics, crawl spaces and sheds. You point at the pile, we sort and carry it out.
Clearing the whole house, not just the garage? See estate cleanouts.
Wilmington basements
Steep stairs, low ceilings, one tiny window
A lot of basements in Wilmington’s older rowhouses and twins were never meant for storage. The stairs are steep and narrow, the ceilings are low, and anything that sat on the floor through a wet spring smells like it.
We’ve cleared plenty of them. Bulky pieces get taken apart down there, outside cellar doors get used when the house has one, and soggy boxes get bagged before they’re carried through your kitchen.

Cleanout cost
What a garage or basement cleanout costs
We price by how much room it all takes in our truck, never by the hour. One all-in price is confirmed on site, covering sorting, loading, hauling and disposal.
Basements and attics can run a little higher than a garage with the same amount of stuff, because every item has to come up or down a staircase.

What we don’t take
Set these aside before we come
A few things that turn up in garages and basements need special handling, so they can’t ride in our truck.
Liquids and chemicals
Liquid paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals and motor oil. The Delaware Solid Waste Authority holds household hazardous waste collection events for these.
Fuel and pressure tanks
Propane tanks, gas cans with fuel in them and anything pressurized. Many propane suppliers take back their tanks.
Heating oil tanks
Old basement oil tanks need a licensed tank contractor. We’ll clear everything around it so they can work.
When people call us
Getting the space back for something better
Park inside again. Before winter is when most garage calls come in. Nobody wants to scrape ice off the windshield while the garage holds boxes nobody has opened in five years.
Finishing the basement. The contractor can’t start until it’s empty. We clear it out, then come back for the drywall and framing scraps when the work is done. See construction debris removal.
After water got in. When a basement takes on water, soaked boxes, carpet and furniture have to go fast before mold sets in. We bag it and get it out.
Getting ready to sell. Buyers and inspectors look at the garage and the basement. Empty and swept shows a lot better than packed to the ceiling.
FAQ
Garage and basement cleanout questions
How much does a garage cleanout cost in Wilmington, DE?
A typical one-car garage fills about half our truck, which runs $300 to $450. A packed two-car garage can fill the whole truck, $600 to $750. If it’s just one corner or a few shelves, that’s closer to a quarter truck, $150 to $250. You get the exact price on site before we start.
Can you get things out of a basement with narrow, steep stairs?
Yes. Older Wilmington rowhouses and twins often have tight, steep basement stairs and low ceilings. We take apart shelving and furniture down there, and if the house has an outside cellar door, we use it to bring bulky items straight out.
Will you take old paint cans and chemicals?
Empty cans and paint that has fully dried out can go with the load. Cans with liquid paint, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals and motor oil are household hazardous waste. The Delaware Solid Waste Authority holds collection events for those, so set them aside for that.
Do you take lawn mowers, tires and exercise equipment?
Yes. Lawn mowers, snow blowers and trimmers need their gas and oil drained first. Treadmills, weight benches and old bikes are no problem. Tires carry an added disposal fee, which we include in your quote. Propane tanks and fuel cans aren’t accepted.
What about the old oil tank in the basement?
We don’t remove heating oil tanks. They have to be emptied and removed by a licensed tank contractor. Everything around it, though, we can clear so the contractor can get to it.
Can you clear the attic too?
Yes. Attics are priced the same way, by how much room the load takes in the truck, with the extra carry down the stairs factored into the quote.
